Computer / Television Collection

9 a.m. to Noon
The
collections are held simultaneously in each of the three counties:
Ottawa County - at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds
on W. State Route 163, Oak Harbor.
Sandusky County - at the
Sandusky County Health Dept. parking lot at 2000 Countryside Drive, Fremont.
Seneca County - at the Seneca County Ag.
Service Complex, 3140 S. State Route 100, Tiffin (next to the sheriffs office.)
In the last
ten years we have seen rapid changes in technology, resulting in a whole
generation of home computers becoming obsolete. The District sponsors a
computer electronics program once a year in May. This program provides an
outlet for residents to recycle their old computers. Additional
materials accepted during this event include tennis shoes, ink cartridges,
and telephone books.
The
following household computer equipment will be accepted at this collection:
CPUs
Monitors
Keyboards
Mice
Printers
Terminals
Modems
Working Cell Phone
Equipment
ITEMS THAT
WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED INCLUDE:
Computers from
businesses
Software packages
Bag cell phones
ACCEPTING TELEVISION
- there is a fee to recycle televsions.
The size of
your television is determined by measuring from one corner diagonally to the
other corner.
23" or less -

23" - 32" -

33" and larger
- $10.00
All console
units & projection screen tv's - $15.00
